Several noteworthy mobile devices are constantly being released under contract with various carriers. Now the latest piece of information is that AT&T has officially announced HTC Vivid and Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket, two of the top devices from these two tech giants. Both these devices would be enabled with the LTE network of the carrier. Release of these devices supporting LTE network would be a significant step ahead for AT&T whose LTE network has already proven to be quite successful in various cities.

Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket is pretty similar to Galaxy S II with the main difference that the former would be larger in size and would also come with a faster processor. This device would come 4.5-inch SuperAMOLED Plus screen and a powerful 1.5 GHz dual core processor, along with 1 GB of RAM memory. The device would be available with 16 GB of internal storage, which could further be expanded to 32 GB with the microSD card. We would also have a huge 8 mega pixel rare end camera with the facility of HD video recording.

Talking about the HTC device, this device would be running Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The display size of this device would be same as Skyrocket, that is, 4.5 inches and it would additionally have a qHD resolution of 540×960. Other noteworthy specifications for this device include a 1.2 GHz processor, 8 mega pixels of rare end camera and support for microSD card. For the time being, the device would be available in 16 GB model.

The LTE network of AT&T was recently launched for five major cities in September. These cities were Atlanta,Chicago,Dallas,Houston and San Antonio. With the initial success, AT&T now plans to expand the network. So with the release of these two major devices, the network would further be expanded to Boston,Washington,D.C.,BaltimoreandAthens,GA. Release date of these devices was November 6 while the prices of the phones happen to be $249.99 for Galaxy S II Skyrocket and $199 for HTC Vivid. At present, two data plans for these devise are available for users. One plan happens to be $15 a month for 200 MB of data for users whose data requirements are not much. For those whose data requirements exceed this plan, they can go for the other plan which allows you 2 GB of data for $25 a month.
