HTC One X LTE hands-on

HTC One X LTE hands-on

During the time when Mobile World Congress was going on in Barcelona, HTC held its own event in New York City. The most important thing during this event was the introduction of One X LTE, the successor to HTC One X. Difference between this phone and the previous version is that this one is specifically aimed for LTE operation and hence contains a different CPU and chipset. This device would soon be available in the US market under contract with AT&T. So far, there isn’t any information whether we would have the unlocked version of the phone as well or not, but most probably the unlocked version would also be made available soon. For the time being, you should be content with the good news that another high end HTC device equipped with the LTE capabilities is about to be released.

The technical specifications of HTC One X LTE seem pretty impressive, although there is little difference on this front between this phone and One X. The only difference can be found in the chipset and CPU and the addition on Beats Audio on this one. HTC One X LTE comes with Snapdragon S4 chipset having two Krait CPU cores clocked at a speed of 1.5 GHz. Remaining technical specifications of One X LTE, such as 4.7 inch Super IPS LCD2 display, HD resolution of 720×1280 pixels, 32 GB of internal memory, 8 mega pixel rare end camera, and 1.3 MP of front end camera, are quite similar to the original One X. Physical structure of this phone, just like the original version, is delightful and comes with a solid and beautiful unibody construction. Structure-wise, you won’t be able to locate the difference between this one and the original one, if you only ignore the AT&T logo on this one. Besides, from the software side, this phone would come with Android Ice Cream Sandwich along with the latest version of HTC Sense. We would also have Beats Audio on this device, providing an enhanced music experience. So basically, for the fans of LTE technology, this is a perfect alternative to the original HTC One X with enhanced hardware and software functionality. The original HTC One X was quite a decent device and one of the best high end devices from HTC, so hopefully we can expect this device to do well in the market.
