HTC One S, review summary

HTC One S is undoubtedly one of the very best high end smart phones from the company in the recent few months. HTC has released several devices from the One family and this one is considered by many to be at the top of those devices. Special technology has been used by HTC in the physical structure of this phone. The micro arc oxidation technology uses 10,000V of electricity to turn the aluminum surface into ceramic which is as much as five times stronger than aerospace aluminum or stainless steel. So the body of this device is certainly very durable.

Talking about the technical specs of the device, you would find most of the finest specs available in the market in this phone. The phone is 7.6 mm thick and feels very comfortable while being held in the hand. The internal structure of the phone is also quite impressive. The two Krait cores in the new Snapdragon S4 chipset are certainly better than the older cores.

When we look at the technical specs of this device, it certainly seems like a true wonder of technology. It would come with a 4.3 inch qHD Super AMOLED touchscreen having resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. As expected, we would come to use Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on this phone. It would be powered by a 1.5 GHz dual core processor and would have a RAM memory of 1 GB. Besides, we would also have internal storage of 16 GB. The 8 mega pixel rare end camera would have the facilities of LED flash, face detection, geo-tagging and continuous shooting. It would also be able to record 1080p videos at the rate of 30 frames per second. Other than the internal storage, HTC has also made available Dropbox storage of 25 GB for the owners of this mobile for two years.

Other than numerous advantages that this handset brings, there might be certain disadvantages as well from the perspective of some users. For example, although 25 GB of Dropbox memory is available for two years, the handset does not have support for microSD card and hence internal memory cannot be expanded. Besides, it would’ve been better if HTC had decided to put a dedicated camera key on the phone. But generally considering, this can certainly be regarded among the very best high end HTC devices of this year so far.
