HTC One Max, a 5.9 inch phablet to be released in September

After the impressive success of HTC One, the company seems to be working on some other devices with the same brand name. This includes HTC One Mini, the smaller version of HTC One, and HTC One Max, a mysterious high-end device which is still in the domain of rumors. Recently a document was released from O2 Germany on which HTC One Max appeared along with HTC One Mini, which suggests that we can indeed expect such a device to be launched in near future.

HTC One Max is expected to be introduced in September, probably at the annual IFA trade show. HTC does not have any scheduled events this year so it is difficult to predict anything in this respect. Rumors and speculations have placed the release date of the device somewhere by the end of this year, so we can expect it to hit the market during the Christmas season. Similarly, there is no information regarding the price of the device but considering that it is a high-end and high-tech device, it would be quite costly.

The display of HTC One Max is of significantly attention, and it can safely be included among the “phablets” with its 5.9 inch full HD screen. This would certainly eclipse the 5.5 inch 720p display of Samsung Galaxy Note 2, but we also have Note 3 just around the corner which once again might tilt the balance in favor of Samsung.

The rumors about operating system of this device are also interesting. As per the rumors at this time, HTC One Max would not come with Android 4.2 Jelly bean or even 4.3, as many people were anticipating. Instead, the giant would boast the next generation version of Google’s mobile operating system, Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie. So far, Google has not even announced Key Lime Pie but we are expecting that to happen soon. It would certainly be great to see this giant device with the cutting-edge technology and latest Android version.

As per the images leaked over the internet, the physical structure and design of this device would remain pretty similar to other HTC flagship devices. Of course, the width would increase to accommodate the increased size of the display but other than that, there would hardly be any change. Information about the technical specs of HTC One Max is also largely unknown so let’s just wait till HTC gives out some official world on that.

We will provide unlock service for HTC One Max soon after its launch:
