HTC is facing the intense competition of Apple and South Korean company Samsung, releasing a new generation of smartphones. This month HTC has officially announced HTC Butterfly, the first smartphone on the world with full-HD display, which will be available internationally. HTC Butterfly is the global version of the hugely popular HTC J Butterfly released in Japan two months ago an also in US as HTC Droid DNA.
HTC Butterfly features a 5-inch screen at 440-ppi pixel density and full 1080P HD resolution, compared to iPhone 5 with 4-inch screen at 326 ppi at lower 1136×640 resolution and Samsung Galaxy Note II having a massive 5.5-inch Super HD AMOLED display with 720 x 1280 resolution and 267 PPI.

Also the president of HTC North Asia, Jack Tong mentioned that the company is preparing to ship “a large number” of HTC Butterfly devices by the end of this month, considering the big success of HTC J Butterfly in Japan.
For breaking more ground, the HTC Butterfly wan released on the market just a day before Apple’s IPhone 5 got on sale in Taiwan.

At China Unicom the Butterfly price is 4,799-Yuan off-contract, the equivalent of $762 according to current conversion rates.
