HTC Amaze Review

HTC Amaze Review

HTC has consistently been releasing some of the highly impressive high end smartphones with amazing technical specifications. One of the latest HTC phones, which can be considered HTC’s answer to Galaxy S II, happens to be HTC Amaze. This phone has all the high end technical specifications that are befitting for its name. For example, we have 4.3” qHD Super LCD display, a dual core 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S3 processor, 16 GB of internal memory and 8 mega pixel rare end camera. The device contains all the features that are sufficient to include it among the very best Android based smartphones so far available in the market.

The physical structure of this phone is not much different compared to most of the recent phones from HTC. The corners are, however, a bit rounded and the weight also seems slightly increased. The display of the device is considerably better than most of the HTC devices released so far. A nice addition in the physical structure of this device is a dedicated camera key and a dedicated camcorder key.

The operating system for this phone is, just like most other HTC phones, Android 2.3 Gingerbread which would a delight to use in conjunction with Sense UI 3.0. The software features that some of the previous devices could not run properly run very smoothly on this device, thanks to the powerful 1.5 GHz processor. There are 16 preinstalled apps that you would find with this device which, however, do not include Adobe Reader, Flash and Facebook apps. Negative thing about these preinstalled apps is that you can’t uninstall them and so whether you like them or not, you would have to live with them. The internet and data speeds on HTC Amaze are pretty impressive. This device runs on T-Mobile’s HSPA+ network and is capable of speeds up to 42Mbps. However, practically, the speeds are quite less but still pretty good. Another good thing is that HTC Amaze is one of the very few devices that have support for NFC. So basically there are a lot of impressive specs that you can see on this device.

Although it would be too early to say whether this device would beat Galaxy S II or not, we can consider it to be a hit and can certainly include it among the very best HTC devices that are available in the market at present. For the time being, the price of this amazing device happens to be $259.99 along with a two year contract with the carrier.
